PESHAWAR: Authorities arrested 62 persons in crackdown against encroachment mafia in different parts of the district on Tuesday.
According to details, on Peshawar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Riaz Khan Mehsud’s directives Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) Bashir Ahmad took action against encroachment mafia in Gulburg and Charsadda Road.
During the operation, the administration removed all temporary encroachments and arrested 26 persons while AAC Sohail Aziz conducted operation against encroachments in old Sabzi Mandi and Hashtnagri and arrested 36 persons. All the arrested persons will be dealt as per law of the province.
