SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, the chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that the ongoing Kashmir Intifada has unnerved India which is now resorting to Pakistan bashing to divert attention of the world community from the grime situation of occupied Kashmir.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Indian state has been rattled by the people’s uprising for their right to self-determination in Jammu and Kashmir which is evident from Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech that India has been using terrorist activities in Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan as a tool to push that country to give up its support to freedom struggle of Kashmiris, which by all standards is a legitimate movement.”
The APHC chairman while commenting on Indian Prime Minister’s speech on Indian Independence Day said, India’s long standing policy of interference in Pakistan had also been aimed at attacking the economic stability of Pakistan and creating an unrest so that Pakistan doesn’t become the regional centre for business, trade and investments like that of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor of which Gwadar port of Balochistan is of central importance.
“Since the present people’s uprising which started after the martyrdom of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, Pakistan has risen to endorse the demand of people of Jammu and Kashmir for their right to self-determination at all international levels of diplomatic and foreign engagements and has used its offices all over the world to inform them about the war-like situation in Kashmir,” he said. Through these efforts India stands exposed at international level, and has been unnerved to an extent that they are publicly confessing their involvement in the terrorist activities in Pakistan, he added.
