KARACHI: Barrister Awais Ali Shah, the kidnapped son of Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, has been has been recovered by Rangers at Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to details, the kidnappers were traveling with Shah in a blue car when they were stopped at the Tank-Zhob road security check-post.
An exchange of fire took place between the abductors and Rangers’ personnel. Three terrorists were also killed during the exchange of gun shots.
Shah was then transported to Faisal Base Karachi from Tank in a special aircraft and later shifted to his home under tight security, where people of the neighbourhood distributed sweets to celebrate his return.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif congratulated Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Justice Sajjad Ali Shah on the recovery of his son.

Shah was abducted on June 20 from Clifton area of Karachi. According to officials, Shah had left Sindh High Court for Clifton to meet a friend, but did not reach there and his phone remained switched off. Later it was confirmed that he had been kidnapped.
