KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that has party has always respected and promoted the interfaith harmony, every citizen of Pakistan deserves equal rights to perform their religious rituals freely and frequently.
Bilawal was talking with Hindu community during his visit at Shiv Temple at Clifton Karachi on the eve of Diwali celebration. The PPP chairman attended Diwali rituals and other religious rites.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sindh PPP President and Provincial Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Senator Sherry Rahman, Provincial Minister and President Karachi Hindu Panchayat Mukesh Chawla, Advisor to CM for Information Mola Bux Chandio, Special Assistant to CM on minorities affairs Dr Khatumal, MNA Ramesh Lal and others were also present on the occasion.
He said that minorities of Pakistan has played the key role for the development and prosperity of the country and fortifying the democracy. He further said that the PPP believes that minorities were assets of country and blooming flower in the bouquet of Pakistan. On the occasion special prays offered for the martyrs of Quetta police training center. Bilawal intermingled with Hindu Community and shared the Diwali greetings.
