ISLAMABAD: Fire erupted on Bani Gala hills near Islamabad, spewing ash and clouds of smoke to the capital on Monday.
According to police and fire brigade sources, the fire had erupted at Bani Gala area and the flames engulfed the wide scenic area. Efforts were underway to put out the fire.
Bani Gala is located at the eastern bank of Rawal Lake near Islamabad Serena Hotel and Jinnah Convention Centre. The vicinity has many scenic views and is renowned in for being the residential area of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan. No news of PTI chairman was reported in connection to the fire.
